ImTravelingTo is designed to minimize data collection.

You can use the site entirely without creating an account. No registration is required to browse content. If you choose to edit country information, you must sign in using a third-party provider such as Google or GitHub. When you sign in, we receive a limited set of profile information from the authentication provider. This typically includes:

• a unique account identifier,
• your email address,
• your display name (if provided by the provider).

We use this information solely to:

• protect the service from abuse and spam,
• attribute edits to an account,
• enforce moderation and platform safety.

We do not publicly display your real name or email address. We do not sell personal data. We do not use personal data for advertising or behavioral tracking. The service may contain affiliate links to relevant travel products. These links do not involve sharing your personal account data with advertisers.

Data Protection and GDPR

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), we process personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

The legal basis for processing authentication data is:

• legitimate interest (ensuring platform security and preventing abuse),
• performance of a contract (providing account-based editing functionality).

Authentication is handled by trusted third-party providers (such as Google or GitHub) and Supabase as our authentication infrastructure provider. These providers may process data on our behalf in accordance with their own privacy policies and applicable data protection laws. You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, subject to legal and security obligations.
